Time Travel
Although The Kronos Project asks viewers to believe that a small piece of jewelry contains the vast amount of fuel/energy required to travel through both space and time, this bit of creative license is hand waved plausibly by "future technology we are unfamiliar with". The writers do acknowledge that time travel is "prohibitively expensive" and that the amulets the characters use have limits, after which they will be merely pieces of jewelry.
The whole series takes place within a paradox loop, which they never try to explain ~ The team must do these things because history records that they already did. It raises the question: What would happen if they didn't? This is discussed in several episodes, particularly Criminal, Challenged, and Spilled MIlk.
